About AnuSutra's Spiritual Blog
AnuSutra's spiritual blog covers meditation, energy work, chakras, and — in our dedicated Vedic & Gita series — the actual textual history of Hindu scripture. We're part of the broader AnuSutra project, a spiritual sadhana app currently in development.
Ravindra Valand
Vedic & Bhagavad Gita series, AnuSutra
Ravindra writes AnuSutra's Vedic and Bhagavad Gita series. By day he's a software engineer (L2) working in the MERN stack — the same habit of tracing every claim back to its source carries over from writing code to writing about scripture. The approach here is straightforward: every factual claim in that series is traced back to a specific named ancient text — a particular Upanishad, a specific chapter of the Gita, a dated Tantric source — rather than repeated from secondhand summaries or vague appeals to "ancient wisdom." Where a date or attribution is genuinely disputed among scholars, the piece says so rather than inventing false precision.
How we source and fact-check
- Every scriptural claim is attributed in the text itself to the specific ancient source it comes from.
- Specific dates, verse numbers, and historical claims are checked against current research before publishing, and presented with appropriate uncertainty where scholarly consensus is genuinely unsettled.
- Every image is a real photograph, painting, or manuscript scan with its public-domain or CC0 status individually verified before use — never an attribution-required image used without credit, and never an AI-generated illustration presented as historical material.
- This is an editorial and historical resource, not medical or therapeutic advice — nothing here should replace professional medical or mental health care.
Corrections
If you find a factual or attribution error in any post, we want to know about it — reach out through the main AnuSutra site and we'll review and correct it.
